The other day as I was swimming in the pool after work, I couldn't stop thinking about calendars. I just kept thinking about how fast a calendar can fill up, and how you really do have to be purposeful in what you fill it with. Some things are negotiable, other things are not. It's interesting to see what things become negotiable or non negotiable as time goes on.
I thought about my trip to Hawaii and my trip to go sailing, and how those dates are set in stone now, no matter what happens, those things will happen. And it's also interesting how travel is one of those things that, once you book a ticket, there is no going back. Whereas something that happens in town is always something negotiable or, to use a better word, re-schedulable, if that is even a word, which I guess it isn't. Something that can't be rescheduled will always be attended. And how many people continue to reschedule their dreams because they don't put them on the calendar and make them a priority or a non negotiable. Why do some things take priority over others in terms of life goals?
